Class Guidelines & Cancellation Policy

  • Class is 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes in length, unless otherwise noted on the schedule. 
  • Wear comfortable clothing; leave shoes in entry.
  • If there is a tendency to perspire during class, bring a towel. 
  • Refrain from the use of fragrances as some people are sensitive or allergic to them.
  • Keep valuables with you. Turn off cell phones, pagers or beeping watches before entering the yoga class. 
  • Please have a yoga mat for your personal use. (a limited amount are available for use at the studio).
  • Aim to not walk on others' mats.
  • Stay with the sequence led by the teacher. If needed, modify a given pose with a close alternative; ask the teacher for guidance as needed. 
  • Place all props back in their original place.
  • Do not miss the next class :)

Cancellations

As much as we love the cold, sleet and snow, sometimes it means we have to cancel class. Here’s how you can find out if your class has been cancelled due to weather. 

The fastest way: Check our MindBodyOnline schedule which can be accessed through the Modern Nature Bodyworks Website. Under Schedule a Class or Appointment just choose Yoga Class Schedule. Closings will be announced there first.

Another way: Check Modern Nature Bodyworks Facebook page for a post announcing any changes to the schedule.

This brings us to the slowest way: show up for class and find the door locked. We hope this doesn’t happen to you and to help prevent it we’ll do our best to announce closings with at least two hours’ notice. 

And finally, if class is cancelled, think of it as an opportunity to flow in the snow… or in the comfort and warmth of your home.  

Waivers: Our insurance carrier requires that each student sign a waiver whereby the student acknowledges full responsibility for personal health and safety.
